OpenZFS on Windows brings the enterprise-grade storage capabilities of the OpenZFS file system and logical volume manager to Microsoft Windows, enabling administrators, researchers, and power users to create high-capacity, self-healing storage pools directly on Windows workstations and servers. Originally conceived for Solaris and now shepherded by the global OpenZFS community, the software offers end-to-end checksumming, continuous integrity verification, instantaneous snapshots, transparent compression, native encryption, and efficient replication, all integrated into a single kernel-level driver.
